Presteigne is a traditional Welsh market town with a wonderful old-world charm. It is only one mile from the park and has everything needed for supplies, groceries, newspapers etc. There is also a choice of public houses, cafes, restaurants and take aways. The delicatessant is rated as one of the best in Wales. Historically there is the Judges Lodgings - a Victorian courthouse and lodgings. Knighton has the nearest rail link, about six miles away, and there is a local bus service that passes the park entrance. The surrounding area is steeped in history and has many castles, hill forts and evidence of Roman occupation.

There is a facilities block with free hot showers, washing up area and laundry room. Dogs are accepted (maximum of two per pitch) there are plenty of walks surrounding the park.
